‘Educational consultancies playing a pivotal role in guiding students’

In the past, the students, mostly from cities, headed to the universities abroad for higher studies. But times have changed for the better. Now, young learners, even from the remotest of villages, are aspiring for big goals and looking to offshore lands to fulfil their career goals, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) Chairman K. Hemachandra Reddy has said.

Speaking after launching a website – www.enlightconsultancy.in – at the office of Enlight Consultancy, at Mogulrajpuram, here on Sunday, on the occasion of its fourth anniversary, Mr. Rmachandra Reddy said educational consultancies played a pivotal role in guiding the students towards their goals. To guide and help the students, an American Corner was established in Andhra University in Visakhapatnam, he pointed out.

Speaking about the challenges that might obstruct the aspirations of the young learners, he said a section of Indian students recently faced problems after learning that the institutions from where they completed their courses were fake. He said consultancies should help guide the students in such aspects.

Managing director of the consultancy Yarlagadda Sriharsha said without any profit motive, the consultancy had been helping the students who were bright but had financial constraints and needed proper guidance for pursuing their dream of studying abroad.

Besides extending financial assistance to the students coming from economically backward sections, the consultancy was also helping them in finding placements and Permanent Residency.

Fourth division corporator Jasti Sambasiva Rao and Yalamanchili Jayaprakash from YSR Charities were present.
