Eduardo Camavinga transfer stance amid Arsenal and Tottenham links

Eduardo Camavinga is a household name in the French Ligue Un, despite his tender years.

The Frenchman only turned 18 in November but has already made 63 appearances for Rennes.

He has two goals to his name and opened his international account during a 7-1 friendly win for France over the Ukraine in October.

His performances in France have alerted a number of other clubs across Europe's top five leagues, but not only that, his contract situation has also alerted a lot of big clubs.

Camavinga's current deal expires in June 2022, meaning he can leave Rennes on a free next summer.

Rennes could be tempted to cash in this summer, rather than losing him on a free next year, if he does not decide to pen a new contract in France.

Camavinga has been tipped for a move away ever since his outstanding one-man display against Paris Saint-Germain in August at the beginning of the season.

Real Madrid have been linked, but in England north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are the ones who have held the biggest interest.

Any hopes of him joining the Premier League appear to have been dashed, however, by the player himself.

When quizzed on his contract situation, Camavinga openly admitted he is likely to sign a new deal with Rennes.

He said: "Could I sign an extension? Yes. Do I want to? Yes. What is holding it up? I don’t know, there are negotiations. It is you (the journalists) who have been talking about me leaving but I am focused on the club."

Camavinga has a market value of £54million on transfermarkt.com and that will only rise with a new contract and bigger and better performances for Rennes in Ligue Un and Europe.
