Edu's four-word response to Arsenal fan amid talk of £36m Everton Soares summer transfer

Edu hasn't been back at Arsenal for even a full month yet but has already mastered the art of getting supporters excited over transfer rumours.

The former midfielder returned to north London just hours after being part of the Brazil staff team which won this summer's Copa America tournament on home soil.

His official title is technical director and that role entails quite a lot of work when it comes to targeting new players.

Edu will lead the scouting and monitoring of players before deciding which will make the best additions to Unai Emery's first-team squad.

Although, it should be noted that ultimately responsibility for getting deals across the line will still fall to head of football Raul Sanllehi and the widely-respected chief negotiator Huss Fahmy.

Arsenal's sole signing thus far is Gabriel Martinelli and Edu played a role in luring his compatriot to the Emirates Stadium.

But could another Brazilian winger be arriving in north London before deadline day next month?

According to reports, Everton Soares is on Arsenal's radar as head coach Unai Emery looks to bolster his squad ahead of the new season with a winger.

And Edu has not exactly ruled out the possibility of a £36m summer transfer.

As seen on Twitter, one Arsenal fan got a chance to quiz Edu about Everton Soares and his response was: "Let's see, let's see."

He then continues to sign autographs with a noticeable smile on his face, although he does add: "If you stop filming, I’ll tell you."

One can only speculate over what was said and there were many Arsenal fans who immediately took to Twitter to ask the exact same question.

Take a look at what's was asked..

It has since been revealed that nothing was said after Edu has requested for filming to stop.
