The Gunner’s face Leicester City in their next Premier League match on Saturday afternoon. Their unbeaten run keeps the club afloat in 10th position on 14th points - level with Leicester.
Leicester edge Arsenal by goal difference only, sitting in ninth place and this will be an important match for both sides to pick up points and vie for that top six position and European football at the least.
But, how could Arsenal fare defensively? As they have failed to keep a clean sheet in the last eight games against Leicester.
The Arsenal Way's presenter and writer Bailey Keogh (BK) spoke with content editor and writer Chris Davison (CD) on Friday morning's Arsenal Agenda Show to discuss whether Mikel Arteta should start Kieran Tierney at left-back...
CD: “Kieran Tierney so far this season, I think he’s gotten better each week. He’s someone who hasn’t reached the same level as he has previously for us. Of course, he’s such an important player for this team.
“Defensively, obviously he’s a big threat for us going forward. He loves to go down that left-hand side and puts in some fantastic crosses and creates fantastic opportunities.
“So, if we’re not getting the best out of him it’s a bit of a concern. It holds back other players too. But, as I said he’s getting stronger and improving a little bit each week.
“Tierney for me is a player that is too important to leave out. But at the same considering Tavares’s performance against Villa. He was absolutely fantastic. It’s also difficult to sit here and say Tierney should get ahead of him.
“In all honesty, I’m happy with whoever Arteta goes for to be honest.”
