Maty Ryan appears to have bid farewell to Arsenal.
The 29-year-old was brought in as back-up to Bernd Leno and made his debut in the 1-0 loss against Aston Villa at the beginning of February and went on to make two more appearances against Fulham and Newcastle United.
Given Ryan was only on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion, he missed out on a potential farewell appearance when his parent club visited the Emirates Stadium on the final day of the Premier League season.
But the goalkeeper has since taken to social media to reflect on his brief spell in north London.
"Have had a blast with this last chapter experiencing all that’s been involved in representing @arsenal," Ryan wrote on Twitter. "Have learnt so much and enjoyed every minute of it.
"To the many great people around the club whom I’ve had the pleasure of associating with, thank you for making me feel welcome and making the transition into the family a very easy one.
"I look forward to continuing the relationships well into the future.
"Excited for what the future will bring. #thankyou."
Ryan's statement would suggest that he won't be signing permanently for Arsenal this summer.
However, it was reported last month that discussions over a permanent transfer were progressing well and were expected to be finalised.
So taking Ryan's 'hint' into and the aforementioned report into consideration, then Arsenal technical director Edu may have changed his mind on the club's first deal ahead of the summer transfer window.
