Edu eyes up transfers in three key areas as Arteta remains keen on Madrid star despite rejected bid

Welcome to our football.london The Arsenal Way daily news round-up. Maybe not the first, we've definitely done news round-ups before, and European round-ups, so I guess in some ways it's not that new at all. Anyway, we thought we would enter the world of football in a broad and roundabout manner for you and have some fun with some of the stories and captions doing the daily rounds.

Arteta still interested in Marco Asensio

After Spanish radio station Cadena Ser reported that Real Madrid rejected a £34million move for the forward, it looked like interest for the player may have subsided.

However, Arteta is keen to push for a deal in January per reports by the Daily Star. Despite Carlo Ancelotti telling the player that he will feature in his first-team squad this season, he’s barely been picked for the starting eleven so far.

The 25-year-old may be sold by Madrid, as his contract ends in less than two years in order to risk losing him on a free in 2023.

With Asensio in search of minutes away from the La Liga team, the Premier League could be an enticing proposition. The Daily Star has also reported that several other English clubs including Leicester, Leeds, and Everton are interested.

Edu looking to splash the cash in January

Arsenal spent the most money in the summer transfer window, spending over £150 million to bring in Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Albert Sambi Lokonga, and Nuno Tavares.

But, Edu is looking to continue the list of incoming players in January, according to the Daily Express.

Arsenal is a club that looks to be reinventing its team under Mikel Arteta with reinforcements needed in different areas of the pitch. The Express has reported that the Gunners are looking to make additions in midfield, defence, and acquire a backup goalkeeper.

Gunners face battle for £20 million target

Arsenal are going to need to outbid Italian giants AC Milan for Noa Lang according to the player’s national outlet Voetbal24.

The Netherlands forward whose currently playing in the Belgian first division with Club Brugge has a number of clubs interested in signing him - Arsenal and AC Milan being the main two contenders.

But per the report, Lang would prefer a move away to the north London club and the only thing that the club will have to contend with is a fee good enough to secure his signature.
