Mikel Arteta could use the recent disruptions caused by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to secure the signature of Franck Kessie from AC Milan.
Arsenal have recently stripped Aubameyang from his captaincy duties after breaching the disciplinary rules, which has led to a lot of speculation surrounding his future at the club.
And according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, the 32-year-old has been offered to multiple Serie A clubs with one of these being AC Milan.
The Gunners could potentially use Aubameyang to secure the signature of Kessie, who would be an excellent addition to the Arsenal midfield and bolster their options even further.
The north London side have been heavily linked to the midfielder, with The Mirror claiming that Arsenal, alongside Manchester United, are interested in securing the Ivorian's services given he could be available for a cut-price fee in the January transfer window.
He has less than eight months remaining on his deal at San Siro and appears unlikely to extend his stay with the Serie A giants.
Arsenal are in desperate need of a central-midfielder to create a strong partnership with Thomas Partey, who has so far struggled to adapt with the pace of the Premier League.
A major reason for this could be due to the supporting cast around him at Arsenal, compared to his previous club Atletico Madrid.
Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ainsley Maitland Niles have been the partners of Partey this season to cover for the injured Granit Xhaka, who has only recently returned.
Kessie has the quality, alongside the necessary experience, and a possible swap deal between himself and Aubameyang could be feasible because securing a deal for the Ivorian won’t be too expensive as reports in Italy have claimed that the central-midfielder wants around £146,000 per week, with the Rossoneri currently offering around £107,000.
At just 24-yers-old, Kessie already has tons of experience having played 182 games in Serie A and scoring 38 goals which is very impressive for a midfielder.
Manchester United and Spurs are also reportedly interested in the star, but Arsenal can secure a deal at an earlier stage by offering the services of Aubameyang in exchange.
