Arsenal are expected to be busy when the summer transfer window opens.
This won't come as much of a surprise to Gunners fans as the club have been active in both windows this season.
Last summer, Arsenal signed midfielder Thomas Partey for £45million on deadline day from La Liga giants Atletico Madrid to go alongside deals for Gabriel Magalhaes, Willian, Dani Ceballos (loan), and Alex Runarsson.
Then in January, they brought in Mat Ryan and Martin Odegaard on loan from Brighton and Real Madrid respectively whilst also trimming the first-team squad by allowing the likes of Mesut Ozil, Sokratis, and Shkodran Mustafi to leave.
Now the focus is turning to this summer as Arsenal are keen on signing Odegaard permanently and have been linked with a £40m move for Inter Milan right-back Achraf Hakimi.
Providing cover for Kieran Tierney at left-back is also a priority for Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu, but with funds expected to be limited, the Gunners will have to get creative.
With that said, football.london understands the north London outfit will look to sell at least four first-team players this summer in a bid to raise funds for new signings.
The players the Gunners are open to selling are Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Eddie Nketiah, Matteo Guendouzi, and Lucas Torreira.
Meanwhile, Hector Bellerin is keen on leaving the club if the right opportunity arises, but Joe Willock's form for Newcastle could see him return from his loan spell to compete for a place in the first team.
Based on each player's market value on transfermarkt, there is the potential to raise some decent cash.
Of the aforementioned quartet, Torreira has the highest value at £19.8m and is closely followed by Guendouzi at £18m.
Maitland-Niles and Nketiah are both valued at £16.2m with the latter seeing a decrease over the past few months, perhaps as a result of reduced game time.
In total, that's £70.2m Edu could possibly raise via player sales in a dream scenario that would then fund a deal for Arteta's next three moves in the transfer market.
However, that total could increase to £92.7m if Bellerin ( £22.5m ) is sold amid links to Paris Saint-Germain.
In terms of raising big money, Alexandre Lacazette is the most realistic option.
The Frenchman's contract expires at the end of next season and talks over a potential extension are set to begin at the end of the season, but with a £31.5m market value, his potential sale could allow Arsenal to raise a grand total of £124.2m .
