Edu already knows his next Arsenal mission after major Real Madrid transfer decision

Arsenal transfer chief Edu enjoyed an extremely busy summer transfer window.

The Brazilian signed six players, splashing in excess of £140million - more than any other Premier League club, adding the likes of Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Martin Odegaard to the ranks.

The Gunners found it hard to settle at the start of the season, losing all of their first three opening Premier League fixtures before steadying the ship as they now find themselves ten unbeaten in all competitions, sitting fifth in the current standings, just two points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.

Given they still have a number of key areas within their squad in need of addressing, Mikel Arteta's side continue to be linked with various players across Europe, including Real Madrid frontman Luka Jovic.

Now, Spanish outlet AS claim that Jovic is open to leaving the Spanish giants in the January window and Arsenal are interested in the Serbian's services, however, no genuine talks are yet to be made with his representatives, at this moment in time.

The report claims that the Serbian international could leave the Bernabeu in the new year given his limited game time that has seen him make just seven appearances so far this season, all of which from Los Blancos' bench.

Jovic was signed from Frankfurt in the summer of 2019, signing for a reported £51million after netting 27 goals for the German side, establishing himself as one of the top centre-forwards in the Bundesliga before sealing the move to La Liga.

The 23-year-old could now decide to search for a new club considering his limited game time in the Spanish capital.
