Edouard Mendy says the Chelsea goalkeepers are united as a group despite his arrival following the disastrous form of Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Having spent a world-record £71million on the Spanish 'keeper two years ago, few at Chelsea would have expected to have been welcoming another first-choice stopper so soon.
But after a string of high-profile errors last season, Frank Lampard was in desperate need of competition in goal.
Mendy, who signed from Rennes, has looked assured in his early outings, keeping a clean sheet in two of his three appearances after Kepa's shoddy form spilt over into this season.
The Senegalese 'keeper has benefited from Kepa's poor form and was declared the No1 by Lampard earlier this week. However, the 28-year-old insists there are no issues in the goalkeeping camp.
"I have a very good relationship with Kepa," Mendy said. "The group of goalkeepers we have, we're all very open and all of us understand the team is the most important thing here and doing what is right for the group.
"Our relationships are all very good, we work well together and we're pushing each other every day to improve ourselves and improve each other.
"We know as goalkeepers we have to stay unified and united and that is what is happening at the moment."
