A man in his twenties has been shot dead in north London.
Police and paramedics were called to Beaconsfield Road, Edmonton, at around 9pm on Wednesday, Scotland Yard said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Footage from the scene showed police vehicles lining the street and a cordon in place.
No arrests have been made.
The killing comes as the Metropolitan Police recorded its highest monthly number of violent deaths so far this year.
The force has recorded 16 homicides so far in July, while figures on its crime data website show there were nine in June and eight in May.
In March and April the figure was slightly above average, with 12 homicides recorded in each month, up from seven in February and 11 in January.
