Editorial: Make change: Trump has kiboshed plans to put Harriet Tubman on the $20

Historians at the national Museum of African American History and Culture are set to debut a stunning, recently discovered photograph of abolitionist Harriet Tubman.

Meantime, a noble project begun a few years earlier to have Tubman's image grace the $20 bill _ and make her the first woman, and first non-white person, on U.S. currency _ gathers dust.

Is it because President Trump reflexively rejects any and every Obama initiative?

Is it because Trump reveres the man now on the $20, Andrew Jackson, who owned hundreds slaves?

Does it have anything to do with the fact that Trump once reportedly reacted to a portrait of Tubman by asking, "You want me to put that face on the twenty-dollar bill?"

We bet all the $20s in our wallet it's all of the above.
