Editorial: It is happening: Beware monkey-human hybrids

Scientists in China are boasting that they've successfully put a human brain gene into a dozen monkeys, and are itching to go further.

We have two reactions to this news: First, ethical horror at the unregulated future of hybrid species.

Second, a sense of calm certainty that no matter how many genetically altered monkeys sit down at however many keyboards, they'll never be able to take our jobs.
