Donald Trump was president less than a month before delivering what seemed like pure payback to casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, whose $20 million had helped gotten him elected.
As ProPublica reports, it was in February 2017 that Trump personally mentioned Adelson's bid to open a gaming resort in previously casino-free Japan to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
In other words, the president of the United States did a solid for a mega-money donor and friend by trying to help him get a billion-dollar foreign business opportunity.
He's putting the pro in quid pro quo.
