Editor's son beaten as 'lesson' to father

The 14-year old son of a Pakistani editor was assaulted because of his father's reporting. A man who beat Hassan Sharjil outside his Islamabad school told him: "We warned your father to stop writing lies, but he wouldn't listen. This will teach him a lesson." Hassan's father is Shakil Ahmad Turabi, editor-in-chief of the South Asian News Agency. Hassan was treated in hospital for head and back injuries. Turabi was also attacked in May this year.
