Edith Head
Edith Head was nominated for 24 academy awards, winning on eight occasions. Her final Oscar was for The Sting in 1974. Her 50-year career started with the silent movie The Legion of the Condemned in 1928 and ended with Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, which was released after her death in 1981
