Edinson Cavani's Ultimate XI named as striker prepares for Man Utd debut

Edinson Cavani arrives at Old Trafford with a world class reputation and an impressive football CV.

The 33-year-old striker completed his free transfer to Man Utd on deadline day and is now eagerly awaiting his debut once the international break is out of the way.

After starting his career in the humble surroundings of Danubio FC in his native Uruguay, Cavani then took in spells at Palermo and Napoli before winding up at his last club PSG.

The French giants broke the national transfer record to land him for around €64million in 2013, and he went on to team up with a host of big-name stars during his seven-year stint.

The first of three ex-Napoli players in the lineup, de Sanctis was between the sticks for the entirety of Cavani's three-year stay with the club.

Third on the list behind the centre-back pairing, the doggid midfielder made his PSG debut at 19 and has already clocked up over 300 appearances in eight years - two third of which were with Cavani.

Pre-Tottenham days, Moura was an important player for PSG after arriving in the same summer as Cavani but was eventually frozen out before his exit. Did just enough to pip Di Maria to the post though.

Forward: Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Appearances with Cavani: 107

They may not always have seen eye to eye but the duo formed a deadly partnership together, with Cavani now following the Swede's same route from Paris to Manchester.

Forward: Ezequiel Lavezzi

Appearances with Cavani: 164

The Argentinian moved from Napoli to PSG the year before Cavani made the same trip, and his joint goal contribution with the Uruguayan is third to that of only Di Maria and Ibrahimovic.

Subs: Salvatore Sirigu (122), Paolo Cannavaro (109), Adrien Rabiot (175), Thiago Motta (166), Angel Di Maria (154), Julian Draxler (99), Luis Suarez (86)
