Edinson Cavani has told Manchester United fans to have faith in their team's ability to turn the season around.
United have dropped to sixth in the Premier League after back-to-back home defeats to Liverpool and Manchester City, which piled the pressure on boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
But striker Cavani urged United fans to keep believing in Solskjaer and his players, as he discussed the importance of faith in his life.
“When you talk about faith, I don’t think you need to move the conversation directly on to religion," said Cavani.
"I believe that when someone mentions faith, it can be applied and can be practised in many other areas of life, in many other aspects of life.

"It doesn’t matter if it’s within football or whatever other discipline. I’d say it’s about faith in the general sense. A faith that helps you to turn situations around.
“That helps on occasions to achieve important goals. That can sometimes help you to withstand sadness.”
Cavani, speaking to Inside United, was asked if he had a message for United supporters for the rest of the season, one in which their faith has been put to the test.

"The message to the fans would be, well, it’s kind of related to what we’ve chatted about today," said Cavani.
“It would be to have faith in their team and to have faith in their players, who, without a doubt, will be trying hard to perform well and to keep growing and improving.
“So that the faith that they’ve shown us, we might be able to pay it back with good results, hard work and by winning.”
