Edinson Cavani issues Manchester United rallying cry following Arsenal defeat

Edinson Cavani urged his Manchester United teammates to stay focused following their defeat by Arsenal in the Premier League.

United's poor start to the domestic campaign continued over the weekend as Mikel Arteta's side recorded a comfortable 1-0 win at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted the only goal of the game from the penalty spot to secure the victory as United failed to win at home for the third time in the Premier League this season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come under fresh scrutiny following the defeat with his team selection and tactical approach questioned even despite a fine win over RB Leipzig in midweek.

Deadline day signing Cavani was introduced from the bench against Arsenal but was unable to salvage anything from the game as Arteta's side stood strong and nullified the tame United threat.

Solskjaer will be desperate for a response from his side against Istanbul Basaksehir this week and Cavani has issued a rallying cry on social media

Taking to social media on Sunday night the Uruguayan forward uploaded a picture of himself from the Arsenal defeat along with the caption: "You have to keep working hard and stay focused."

United fly to Turkey on Tuesday ahead of their Champions League meeting with Basaksehir on Wednesday night before an away game against Everton next weekend.
