Edinson Cavani has already considered his next club after Man Utd spell

Edinson Cavani has already planned to end his career Boca Juniors but admits he's in no rush to get back to South America.

The 33-year-old Uruguayan has just completed his move to Man Utd on a one-year deal with the option to extend the contract by a further year.

Cavani had been linked with moves to Atletico Madrid and Benfica earlier in the window as he was keen to remain in Europe for the time being.

However he has also revealed he held talks with Boca Juniors' vice-president Juan Roman Riquelme, whom he discussed a potential transfer with.

"Roman wrote to me with great respect, he wanted to know how I was in this situation, with a very particular semester and we had a very respectful talk," Cavani told ESPN .

"Boca is a giant of the world, any footballer would come across playing there. There were several Uruguayan players out there. Following the history of our football arouses curiosity a bit."

Boca currently have 36-year-old former Man Utd striker Carlos Tevez leading their attack, and clearly would like to have Cavani in their ranks too.

And it appears the feeling is mutual, as Cavani hinted at a future switch once his time at Old Trafford draws to a close.

"We will see what happens in the future," he said. "It would be something very nice to be able to play one day in Boca."

But Cavani also hinted he may not head straight for Argentina when his days at United come to an end.

“I have a two-year contract with Manchester United. I want to do my best here. I feel good," he added.

"The day I return to South America is not going to be when the roll is over. I am realistic, I want to play until I feel good. I will play these two years and see if I continue or go back to South America."
