Edinburgh Zoo shares footage of new tiger Dharma's first moments in her enclosure

Edinburgh Zoo has shared footage of their new majestic Sumatran tiger first moments in her new encolsure.

Dharma is just under two years old and travelled over 700km to Edinburgh Zoo from Fota Wildlife Park in the south of Ireland.

She will soon be introduced to Jambi, a male tiger that arrived at the zoo in 2015.

However, for now, Dharma is just getting used to her new surroundings and there will be restricted viewing while she settles in.

Edinburgh Zoo has a new enclosure called "tiger tracks" that allows visitors to get closer than ever before.

Tiger tracks feature a ground level tunnel that visitors can walk through as well as a viewing platform.

The new enclosure is also three times the size of the Sumatran tigers' old enclosure and has climbing structures, a feeding post, heated rocks, ponds and a new indoor house.
