Edinburgh youths caught 'smacking' Just Eat bikes in broad daylight

Four Edinburgh youths were caught on camera allegedly 'throwing Just Eat Cycles' near Portobello Beach on Friday.

Shocked Edinburgh local Jack Jardine couldn't believe his eyes when he witnessed the hooded youngsters 'taking the bikes by the back wheel' and tossing them around in broad daylight.

After filming the youths at Kings Road station, he reported it to Just Eat who said that they were going to raise the issue with the police.

Jack told Edinburgh Live: "It happened at 3:20 (16 April).

"There were about four boys by the look of it.

"There were many witnesses but it was so shocking to see it happen out in the open that many of us felt afraid to actually approach them.

"Instead we informed the police patrolling the area, as well as Just Eat informing the police too"

After Jack alerted the Just Eat Cycles on social media, they responded: "Hi Jack, thank you so much for letting us know, we will report directly to @EdinburghPolice."

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
