Travel platform Tripadvisor has announced that venues in Edinburgh have been awarded the most Travellers' Choice Awards in 2020, second only to London.
Based on a full year of Tripadvisor reviews, prior to any changes caused by the pandemic, award winners are known for consistently receiving great traveller /diner feedback, placing them in the top 10% of hospitality businesses around the globe.
A whopping 627 eateries and bars in Edinburgh are in the top 10% of reviewed businesses on Tripadvisor GLOBALLY - what a testament to our city's incredible hospitality industry.
181 accommodations (including hotels, hostels and guest houses) were given the award this year and 231 attractions.
So what made the list you ask?
In Edinburgh's Old Town venues such as Devil's Advocate, Wings Edinburgh, Divino Enoteca, Civerinos, Aizle, Paradise Palms, Oink, Mary's Milk Bar and Kim's Mini Meals all made the list.
In the city centre Six by Nico, Fortitude Coffee, El Cartel, BABA, Hawksmoor, Bar Soba, Superico Restaurant (formerly Hanover 83), Lucky Liquour as well as many, many, more all came out on top.
As for Leith, Bodega, Desi Pakwan, Vittoria on the Walk, The Little Chartroom, Bross Bagels are just some of the best places in the area.
