The Edinburgh What The Fork Monarchs will be hoping to pick up their first win of the season when they welcome the Newcastle Diamonds to Armadale tomorrow.
The speedway team finally got their 2021 campaign underway last week following two postponements and came away with two draws against the Redcar Bears.
Captain Sam Masters was in fine form on both occasions as he tallied eight wins from 11 rides across the two matches and he’ll need to be at the top of his game against an impressive Newcastle outfit in the Championship Knock Out Cup tie.
The second leg takes place on Sunday in Newcastle, with a National Development League fixture between the Newcastle Gems and the Armadale Devils being held straight afterwards.
Tickets are still available for Friday night’s encounter, with the action getting underway at 7.30pm.
