After a snowy and bitterly cold weekend, temperatures are set to rise on Monday in Edinburgh.
It will be a grey day in the capital, but by the evening the mercury will approach 10 degrees Celsius.
According to the Met Office, Edinburgh will see a "bright and cold start" in the morning, after which it will experience "slowly recovering" temperatures.

The chance of rainfall will hover around 10% for most of Monday, so it will likely be a dry day in the city.
Temperatures will remain near-zero until around midday, after which things will slowly begin to warm up.

The mercury will hit 5C by around 2pm, and 8C at about 4pm.
The temperature in Edinburgh looks set to peak at 9C, and the city will enjoy a relatively mild evening.
Things will begin to cool off overnight, but on Tuesday the city will continue to warm up, with highs of over 10C expected.
