After a couple of dark and gloomy few days, skies in Edinburgh should hopefully be slightly more pleasant on Wednesday.
Following Tuesday's off-and-on rain showers it looks set to be a dry one in the capital today, with the chance of precipitation remaining below 5% - though it will rise to 10% at around 7pm this evening.
According to the Met Office, the day "will become brighter, across the Lothians and Borders, with some sunny spells developing".

At around 1pm, Edinburgh locals may finally see some sunshine poking through the clouds - and it will be making sporadic appearances over the remainder of the afternoon.
Additionally, the sun will be bringing with it a tiny bit of warmth, as temperatures in the city are expected to hang around 14 or 15 degrees Celsius for much of the day.
The sunny intervals are set to continue into the early evening, though by 7pm the city will likely be back beneath a sheet of clouds.
This unfortunately is a harbinger of things to come tomorrow, with dark clouds and heavy rain expected throughout the day.
Wednesday will likely be the warmest day of the week, and it may well be the sunniest too, so Edinburgh locals should enjoy it while it lasts.
