Edinburgh weather: the days set to be dry in the next fortnight according to long-range forecasts

The weather in Edinburgh today is - frankly - horrible. The skies are grey and it's pouring with rain, which is a shame because currently it is not allowed to meet other households indoors under the current Scottish lockdown rules.

The bad news is that it's set to be wet for some time to come, meaning outdoor gatherings will need to be put on hold. However, there is a bit of good news on the horizon as the weather is set to improve in July, according to long-range forecasts.

We took a look through the weather report to identify which days might be best for outdoor activities between now and 14 July.

As with all weather forecasts it's of course subject to change, but we thought this information might help you make some fun plans to look forward to over the next four weeks.

All the days the weather is set to be dry in the next two weeks

Thursday 2 July : There's a slight chance of patchy rain at 12pm, but the rest of the day is set to be relatively bright and sunny.

Saturday 4 July : The weather is set to be dry between 6am and 3pm.

Monday 6 July: It's set to be dry all day with highs of 16 degrees.

Tuesday 7 July: Another dry day, with highs of 17 degrees.

Thursday 9 July : The warmest day for a while, with highs of 20 degrees.

Saturday 11, Sunday 12 and Monday 13 : All currently set to be dry.
