Edinburgh weather: Pub goers watch Lothian bus and cars struggle to drive through flood

Edinburgh has been hit by intense thunderstorms and flash floods.

Many parts of the city have been struck badly, with pictures showing roads submerged in areas like Morningside, Colinton and the city centre.

The brand new St James Quarter has also been hit badly by the weather, with rainwater being seen pouring into the inside of the shopping centre.

One video, taken outside The Roseburn pub shows the full extent of how badly the Roseburn area has been affected.

The video shows cars and buses ploughing through a heavy stream of water as the roads are completely flooded.

A nearby Tesco Express can also be seen, with the water almost coming up to the door.

Public transport has already been severely disrupted and it is very likely that many homes and businesses will be flooded.
