Edinburgh weather: mini heatwave has started with temperatures set to hit 30°C tomorrow

During lockdown, we've gotten used to bright blue skies and this week is no different.

Now that we're allowed to meet up with friends and family outdoors again it's good news that a heatwave is kicking off in Edinburgh today.

Today locals will experience temperatures of up to 22°C later this afternoon with the city basking in glorious sunshine.

But how long should we expect this taps aff weather to last?

GOOD NEWS, THE WEATHER IS SET TO CONTINUE.

Tomorrow we're to expect a maximum temperature of 30°C

The Met Office says that Thursday will be: "A mostly dry and sunny day. Becoming hot or very hot, and again there is the chance of one or two isolated thundery showers in the afternoon.

"Gentle southeast breeze. Maximum temperature 30°C."

30 DEGREES! We'll be taking our laptops into the garden tomorrow.

Now that we're in phase two of lockdown, you are now able to meet people from up to two other households outdoors, either together or separately.

However, as per the Scottish Government's advice, people should not meet more than two other households in one day. As in phase one, there should not be more than eight people in a group. So if you're heading down to Costa Del Portobello, remember to follow the rules.
