It may be summer but the sun hasn't exactly been beating down on Edinburgh these past fews.
But, with two working days to go until the weekend, the rain appears to have let up - even if only for a short time.
In fact, after a cloudy start to the day we can expect sunny intervals with a moderate breeze.
From around 5pm today the sun is expected to really break through the clouds - perfect timing for an post-work drink .
The capital might actually get a break from the relentless rain, with no showers forecast until tomorrow.
During the morning commute temperatures will be around 10C, reaching highs of 16 degrees. However it may feel around two degrees colder.
