Traffic Scotland has put out an official warning for Edinburgh drivers to take care when on the roads today.
Heavy rain throughout last night and this morning have caused surface water to lay on the roads which could make driving conditions dangerous.
It comes as an accident occurred at Hermiston Gait this morning restricting all lanes Eastbound and causing tailbacks on the city bypass.
Now drivers in Edinburgh are being urged to take caution on the roads "due to surface water affecting driving conditions."
Traffic Scotland said: "City of Edinburgh - Weather, Drivers in Edinburgh are advised to use caution due to surface water affecting driving conditions.

In a separate warning, they wrote: "Heavy rain overnight affecting many routes in the East this morning
"Take Care when travelling... Here are some images from our cameras on the #A720 #M90 #M8 and #M9."
