Edinburgh weather: Dreary and damp conditions to continue for rest of the week

Edinburgh is to see some pretty depressing conditions this week, with grey skies to dominate most days.

Although the weather will be a lot less dramatic than this time last week, the capital will not be seeing the sunny and frosty days most were hoping for.

Today (Wednesday) is forecasted to be relatively dry, however heavy cloud will cover the city for most of the day.

Temperatures are also sitting a little milder today, with highs of around 7C throughout the day, cooling down as the evening approaches.

Wednesday will also feel a lot calmer than the stormy conditions experienced a few days ago, with barely any winds, just a small breeze flowing in from the south west.

Moving into tonight and temperatures will fall to around 4C, however it will feel closer to freezing.

Thursday is also expected to show similar conditions to Wednesday, with heavier cloud and possible rain showers predicted to arrive later in the evening.

The weekend is also set to bring more rain, with Friday and Saturday to see showers almost the entire time.
