Edinburgh weather as capital set for a few days of sun with highs of 17C by the end of the week

Edinburgh is set to enjoy a lot of mixed but still warm weather over the course of next week, with warm weather but some rain on the way.

According to the Met Office, it looks like it will be a mixed bag for Edinburgh, with some sun and warm weather but mostly clouds and some rain in the middle of the week.

The highest temperature locals are likely to see next week is a respectable 17C next Friday and the lowest is still only 12C over Monday and Tuesday.

The weather will begin cool with mostly grey skies before gradually improving over the course of the week, with Thursday and Friday predicted to see warm temperatures of 16C and 17C.

Tomorrow, locals can expect 14C temperatures, with some sun in the morning before it turns cloudy by midday and stays cloudy throughout the rest of the day.

Monday is set to be the coolest day of the week, with highs of 12C expected.

Tuesday will likely see the poor weather remain, with rain and some sunny spells from one in the afternoon until 10pm.

Wednesday looks better, however. While there is going to be some rain from 1pm until 7pm, the rest of the day will remain dry, with slightly warmer temperatures.

The end of the week is when the weather is set to properly improve, with Thursday jumping to a warm 16C and sunny spells predicted throughout the day.

Friday will get even warmer, with Edinburgh predicted to see sun from 7am all the way until 7pm.
