Edinburgh weather: A rotten Thursday expected with plenty of rain on the way

Forecasters reckon Edinburgh is in for a day of rotten weather on Thursday with plenty of rain expected.

Things should start off dry before the wet weather arrives around 11am. Showers should get heavier at around 12pm with the worst of the rain expected around lunchtime.

Some sunshine could break through the clouds around 3pm but it's of little consequence – it's still likely to be pouring down.

The Met Office reckon the wet weather will continue through until around 10pm. Temperatures are likely to be around 8C or 9C for the most part.

A day for the indoors, it seems.
