Edinburgh weather: a grey day ahead as Edinburgh wakes up to election results

Friday is set to be a cold and cloudy - but dry - day in Edinburgh, as the Scottish capital wakes up to the results of the 2019 General Election.

The Met Office say that it will be: "Mainly cloudy with a lot of dry weather but still a little rain towards East Coast.

"Scattered showers and stronger westerly winds will edge into Dumfries and Galloway later. Maximum temperature 7°C."

It will stay cold over the weekend, and there's even going to be some more hill snow.

Writing about the weekend, they say it will be: "Cloudy with occasional rain and hill snow Saturday with fresh westerly winds. Drier, brighter on Sunday and Monday with a few showers.

"Temperatures staying on the cold side."

So there you have it people. Wrap up warm over the next three days, and don't venture into the hills without the right equipment. December is definitely making its presence felt.
