Edinburgh Waverley incident: Services delayed after reports of man behaving aggressively on train

A train is currently being held between Haymarket and Edinburgh Waverley by British Transport Police following reports of a man behaving aggressively onboard.

Scotrail tweeted at 12.47pm that "The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket. Services running through these stations will be delayed or revised."

British Transport Police told Edinburgh Live that their officers were attending reports of a man behaving aggressively on a train and were holding a train at Haymarket whilst they dealt with it.

Scotrail have since issued an update that services will slowly come back to normal but to expect delayed or revised trains.
