A fallen tree caused traffic chaos in Edinburgh this morning after blocking Colinton Road in both directions.
An eye-popping picture taken by a local resident showed the large tree near Redford Barracks and Merchiston Castle School.
Lothian buses were forced to divert routes away from the busy commuter road.
Edinburgh Travel News, run by Edinburgh Council, warned locals of the incident on Twitter, penning: “Colinton Road near Redford Barracks / Merchiston Castle School - road is blocked in both directions due to a fallen tree.
“10, 45 & 400 services are diverted.”

Luckily at 10.40am this morning, the Forestry team attended the incident and were able to clear the large tree from the area.
Edinburgh Travel News said: "Colinton Road - The Forestry team have attended and the road is all clear now."
Another picture was also taken of the area being cleared and a local thanked the council saying: "Colinton Road now clear your guys worked hard and fast to clear the road."
