Edinburgh trams have said none of their trams will be running until further notice due to a technical fault this morning.
The travel operator have not confirmed exactly what the technical issue causing the decision to suspend trams is, but say that they are aiming to have this rectified as soon as possible.
Commuters who rely on trams will be able to use their ticket on any Lothian bus service this morning.
In a tweet, Edinburgh Trams said: "Due to a technical issue our service is currently suspended. We are aiming to have this rectified as soon as possible. Ticket acceptance is in place with @on_lothianbuses AP #edintravel."

UPDATE: Trams are now running again. Edinburgh Trams said: "With temperatures rising, the hoarfrost is melting and full route services are resuming. Thanks to everyone for their patience".
