Motorists are experiencing major delays heading in an out of Edinburgh this afternoon following a crash in Midlothian.
The A6106 Millerhill Road at Newton Village is currently closed in both directions following what was described by one eye-witness as a "serious road traffic collision".
Edin Travel, a council-run traffic and travel feed, reported the collision shortly before 2:30pm this afternoon.
This is affecting traffic between Old Craighall Road and The Wisp, and on Old Dalkeith Road, Newton Church Road, and at Sheriffhall Roundabout.
It is understood emergency services are at the scene.
