Edinburgh to get new customisable homes that buyers cant help to design

Custom Build Homes has gained planning permission to build ten customisable new builds in the Shawfair area of the capital.

Potential buyers will be given the unique opportunity to customise their home and have a say on 27 different features within the property.

The homes will range from three to five bedrooms and will be offered as a “blank canvas” where buyers will be able to help out with the interior design process.

CBH say they will install the help of local Edinburgh Designer, Victoria Hopkins, who will provide a house fitting service.

The area of Shawfair benefits from greenspace and nearby transport links, such as the recently built Shawfair Train Station, as well as walking paths leading to Edinburgh City Centre.

Each home will come with large windows, wide balconies and south-facing gardens that should offer a view of the nearby Pentland Hills.

Tom Connor, Founder at Custom Build Homes, said: “The prospect of custom housebuilding making its debut in Edinburgh excites me, particularly adjacent to the Shawfair development which has pushed the boundaries of what a new town should be.
