Edinburgh is to become none other than Gotham City as part of a new Batman blockbuster is filmed in the capital.
The huge movie franchise has chosen the capital as a prime location for their new production 'The Flash'.
Starring Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, the film is set to head to Edinburgh in June, and will be shooting 'flashback' scenes with both of the stars.
It has not been confirmed which streets and buildings will be used as part of the set, however crews are expected to be seen throughout the city centre during the summer.
So far, scenes have been shot in London, but the cast will travel north to both Edinburgh and Glasgow to continue production.
The film is not connected to 'The Batman', starring Robert Pattinson, which is expected to be the future of the Batman franchise. Instead, Keaton and Affleck will both take on the role one more time, with Keaton becoming the oldest ever Batman at 69 years old.
It is not the first production to be shot in Edinburgh this year, as the capital continues to become a popular site for shoots.
So far, films such as the Princess Switch 3 have used the city as a backdrop, with a new Irvine Welsh novel adaptation and historical film 'The Lost King' underway now.
It also comes as Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford will be travelling to the Scottish Highlands to shoot scenes for the latest installment of the professor's adventures.
No details on the plot have been released so far, but fingers crossed Harrison pops down to Edinburgh on his Scottish stay.
