TK Maxx have confirmed that they will be forced to close their store at Meadowbank shopping park after their landlord ended their lease.
The store is set to close on February 15 later this year and an insider has revealed that staff were devastated to hear the bombshell news.
It is not yet known which business will be taking its place at the retail park but senior staff members at TK Maxx are understood to be working to find roles within their business for the staff impacted.

They said that they are grateful for their “hard-working staff” and “loyal customers” for supporting the company at their Meadowbank store throughout the time it has been open.
A spokesperson for TK Maxx said: “Our landlord has sadly ended the lease at TK Maxx Meadowbank, so we’re sorry to announce that the store will likely close on February 15 2023.
“Our senior managers have been in store supporting the team. We’re currently in consultation with all affected associates and our intention is that all associates will be offered roles in other local TK Maxx or Homesense stores.
“We are very grateful to our hard-working store team and loyal customers who have supported TK Maxx Meadowbank over the years and look forward to seeing them at our nearby stores. The closest is St Andrew’s Square, or customers can shop online or find their nearest store at tkmaxx.com.”
