Edinburgh TikTok clip claims to have unearthed city's worst postcodes to live in

An Edinburgh scheme page has created a TikTok video that allegedly shows the least desirable postcodes to live in Scotland’s capital.

User @edinscheme’s video, which has been viewed over 170,000 times, shared a list of the most desirable postcodes in Edinburgh to live in and the results are rather confusing.

They state that EH4, EH16, EH6, EH11, EH15, EH7, EH5 and EH17 are the worst postcodes in the capital to live in.

But this tongue-in-cheek video is rather confusing considering the communities that exist within these rather broad geographic areas.

For instance EH4, home of the wonderful Cleri Jungle and Clermiston Inn where you can purchase a pint for under £3 Sunday to Thursday.

It is also home to the affluent Cramond with its golden beaches as well as Blackhall and Barnton communities that boast some of the most impressive properties in the capital.

Then there is EH7 with the exemplary Craigentinny as well as the sought after community of Broughton where there are wonderful brunch cafés - not to mention the top of Leith Walk that contains so many wonderful bars and eateries.

And take EH15 with its beautiful coast in Portobello and plush Duddingston golf course.

The people of Gilmerton, Moredun and Burdiehouse within EH17 are also some of the most community focused and friendly individuals that one could come across in Auld Reekie.

All of these wonderful Edinburgh postcodes have their own unique quirks and wonderful inhabitants.
