An Edinburgh thief was caught on camera making a getaway after reportedly "shoplifting his way along" a bustling street in the capital.
Gifted Stockbridge took to social media following the incident on Saturday (May 8) afternoon after the thief made off with stolen jewellery.
The independent gift shop is among a number of local retailers on Raeburn Place and hit out at the man, who was pictured wearing a red jumper.
They said: "Bad day at the office. This person shoplifted his way along Raeburn Place this afternoon, stealing jewellery from us. Reported to the police."
Police have launched an investigation and are urging anyone with information to come forward as they look to trace the man.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are carrying out enquiries after reports of shoplifting in Raeburn Place in Edinburgh on Saturday, 8 May.
"Officers are keen to trace a man. Anyone who was in the area is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 1699 of 8 May."

Non-essential stores have only recently been allowed to reopen in April following months of closures amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Further restrictions are set to be lifted this month, which will see people allowed in each other's homes for the first time this year.
