Edinburgh student in infamous 'relatable' club meme goes viral...again

For most of us, the likelihood of ever becoming a viral meme are slim at best - unless you're this Edinburgh student.

Lucia Gorman had no idea she would become the face of the "most relatable nightclub photo ever" when she was snapped in Bourbon on a night out back in September 2018.

The infamous photo, which shows Gorman looking less than impressed by a bloke chatting in her ear, took the Internet by storm as dozens of laugh out loud memes shared their take.

Lucia's online fame led to her popping up in another nightclub photo last year in July, where she is shouting at a man while clutching a bag of Doritos - again, very relatable.

And it is this photo that has seen the Edinburgh student go viral once more after an Irish comedian shared a side-by-side comparison with the original viral photo.

In a tweet that has now racked up over one hundred thousand likes on Twitter, George Fox said: "You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

Speaking previously to Cosmopolitan magazine about her experience, she said: "I know everyone says it, and I sound like a mum, but what goes online… you can’t really stop it.

"Even if I wanted to get those pictures back now, I never could. It’s not up to me, really.

"It’s my face, but I don’t own it."

Lucia now hopes the meme will eventually die down, but admitted the photo "could be worse."

She said: "The Internet moves on. It happens so fast, and then it’ll be over."
