Filming for the Lost King was seen getting fully underway in Edinburgh this week, after a series of roads were closed in Stockbridge.
On Wednesday (May 26), a number of people had gathered around the set to watch some of the scenes in action, with Hamilton Place shut off for most of the day.
From camera runners to huge sound systems, the full works were photographed on the quaint street, with cast and crew ducking in and out of the rainy downpours that continued to make an appearance.
However, pictures taken from the set even showed some of the cast in full costume, with one gentleman dressed as a king as he took a break outside the adjacent Scotmid.
Co-written and starring Alan Partridge actor Steve Coogan, the film will follow the story of the discovery of King Richard III's grave in a Leicester car park.
The true story will be based on the 2012 finding, after the king's final resting place was found to be somewhere a little less glamorous than you would expect.

Historians report that the last of the Plantagenet rulers died in battle in 1485, and was later buried in Leicester chapel after his excavation was completed.

Although not discovered in Edinburgh, the city will play host to a number of different scenes, with Coogan and co-star Sally Hawkins expected to make appearances in the capital.
