Stonemasons in Edinburgh have urged residents to check their stonework after loose masonry was spotted across the city.
Edinburgh Stonemasons Ltd have repeatedly posted videos online which show them testing wobbly bits of stone work on top of homes and historic buildings.
Their warning for home owners to check whether their buildings are safe comes as the Met Office reveals relatively high winds are set to batter Edinburgh over the coming days.
Blustery weather is predicted to bring gusts of 28mph on Saturday, before peaking at 30mph in the middle of next week.
Sharing their clips on Twitter, the stone repair experts reveal how loosely attached some of the city's stone features have become over the years.
In one inspection, the top of a stone column can be seen rocking precariously above a busy road.
Edinburgh Stonemasons Ltd advice people to carry out a building inspection every three to five years to ensure safety, remove any unsafe masonry and replace where applicable.
