Edinburgh St James Quarter adds German Doner Kebab to its dining venues

German Doner Kebab will open their third Edinburgh store next month, joining the ever-growing list of eateries situated in the new St James Quarter.

Joining the company's nearby store at Waverley Train Station and Lothian Road, the unique take on everyone's favourite greasy hangover cure will be situated on the first floor of the centre and will help generate 40 new jobs.

With the exact date to be announced, diners can look forward to one of the UK's growing gourmet fast-food restaurants joining the impressive St James lineup.

German Doner offer a new take on the fatty alternative that was have become accustomed to after a few drinks on the weekend, providing premium and fresh cuts of meat, fresh vegetables and handmade toasted breads with their popular signature sauces.

Joining the likes of Bonnie & Wild, Pho, The Alchemist and many more in Edinburgh's newest and biggest retail venue, German Doner will no doubt be a big hit with local food enthusiasts.

The brand now has 90 restaurants worldwide as it continues to share the game-changing GDK experience across the globe.

Daniel Bunce, GDK MD for UK and Europe, said: "We’re delighted to officially announce plans that we are opening our third GDK restaurant in Edinburgh.

"Our game-changing kebabs have proven to be a massive success across our existing Edinburgh restaurants, and we can’t wait to replicate this at our location within St James Quarter."

One opened, German Doner Kebab will offer a dine-in experience, as well as takeaway and delivery.
