The return of Scotland's most famous tent has been hit with severe delays, after organisers announced the event would not go ahead this year.
The 'Return of the Slam Tent' festival at Hopetoun House in Edinburgh was set to be one of the country's biggest music events since lockdown when rules eased in August.
However, with no clear confirmation on what rules will be lifted on August 9, FLY Open Air shared the news on Wednesday (July 21) that fans would have to wait until 2022.
With new dates given for March 2022, organisers stated that they had "moved heaven and earth" to try and allow the dance event to go ahead, and hit out at the lack of guidance.
In a statement, they said:
"Following recent Scottish Government announcements, we are deeply saddened to inform you that we have reenforced to reschedule the return of the slam tent to 25-27 March 2022.
"Despite moving heaven and earth on many occasions, with our team working round the clock on different contingencies that spanned across multiple dates this summer and so to now reach this point is devastating.
"After witnessing thousands gathering in stadiums over the past few months for sporting events and then the reopening. Of English nightclubs this week- it is exhausting to once again see Scottish festivals overlooked.
"Unfortunately, the next update from the First Minister in August is too late for us, therefore. The return of the slam tent will now move to 25-27 March and your tickets will be valid for this show automatically."
Anyone with a ticket for the event has been asked to listen out for further updates in the coming days.
