Edinburgh set to see rise in temperatures in coming days – ideal for the daily exercise

Temperatures are set to rise in Edinburgh in the coming days – perfect for your once daily lockdown exercise.

Forecasters at the Met Office reckon we could see highs of around 15C on Sunday, and combined with the lighter nights, things certainly seem to be changing for the better after a particularly harsh winter.

Saturday is likely to be cloudy with temperatures of around 10C, before things improve on Sunday.

Things are likely to peak around 4pm with the warm weather continuing into the evening.

However, people are reminded to follow lockdown orders and not travel by car to beaches and parks – instead doing their daily exercise in walking distance from their own homes.

Edinburgh Live reported earlier this week how teams of police officers were patrolling Silverknowes and Cramond promenade to catch rule-breakers who had driven to the beach for a walk.

At the weekend Silverknowes Beach was busy with people despite the government Covid-19 lockdown orders.
